Last month in March, MDPI Canada had the pleasure of taking part in a career fair at the Psychology Students' Association - University of Toronto Conference!

During our time there, MDPI representatives Jo Nguyen, PhD & Teddy Gordon had the opportunity to connect with students, graduates, and scholars interested in learning more about careers in academic publishing and open science. We had many engaging conversations with students about the different directions a career in academic publishing can take and the diverse roles that support the global research community.

As part of MDPI’s global network, our team in Canada works closely with researchers and institutions across North America to support open access publishing. The University of Toronto Psychology Conference and its included career fair was a great opportunity to share more about what that work looks like and to connect with students and professionals interested in careers in academic publishing.

Thank you to the organizers for delivering such an engaging event and to everyone who stopped by to speak with us. We look forward to continuing these conversations and welcoming future talent into the world of scholarly publishing (and our office)!
