MDPI Canada was thrilled to participate in the 17th Annual CSPC (Canadian Science Policy Centre) Conference in Ottawa last week under the overarching theme Toward a resilient future for Canada: Mobilizing science, knowledge and innovation. It was a fantastic opportunity to engage directly with policymakers, researchers, and leaders across Canada’s science and innovation academic ecosystem.
The MDPI Canada team hosted a panel titled Trust in Science: An Ecosystem Approach to Scientific Communication and Misinformation to explore how open science, transparent research practices, and collaborative communication across institutions, media, and the public can strengthen the integrity and accessibility of scientific knowledge. The team had many meaningful conversations, sharing insights on open access publishing, editorial support, and ways to empower scholars. Each discussion reinforced our mission to make research more accessible, impactful, and globally connected across North America.
Thank you to the Canadian Science Policy Centre for hosting an outstanding event, and to everyone who stopped by to connect with us! We look forward to building on these conversations and advancing research, innovation, and policy within Canada and across North America.
