This workshop will gather researchers and professionals working across Earth observation, geosciences, and data-driven environmental science to examine how AI, big data, and Earth observation technologies are advancing sustainability and improving Earth system understanding. Free registration is available for all participants.
📅 27 November 2026 (Full-day event)
📍 The Yorkville Royal Sonesta Hotel (220 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 3B7)
Chair: Prof. Dr. Arturo Sanchez-Azofeifa, University of Alberta
Speakers: To be announced
The workshop topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Multi-source remote sensing data fusion: theories, methods, and frontiers.
· AI-empowered geosciences: from data-driven approaches to scientific discovery.
· Remote sensing and data fusion for sustainable resource management.
· Atmospheric remote sensing and data fusion: from process understanding to climate services.
· Geospatial big data, cloud computing, and open science.
· Ecology, big data, and remote sensing.
· Remote sensing of hazards and real-time support for decision making.
