  • 2 min read

Organized in collaboration with the Regroupement Stratégique en Microsystèmes du Québec (ReSMiQ – Microsystems Strategic Cluster of Quebec), this workshop will bring together researchers, students, and industry professionals to explore the latest developments in microelectronics, microsystems, and sensor technologies.

This one-day event will feature expert presentations, technical discussions, and a poster competition showcasing emerging research. Together, these activities will provide opportunities for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and discussion on emerging applications and future directions across these rapidly evolving fields.

The workshop will be chaired by Prof. Ricardo Izquierdo, with speakers to be announced.

Workshop Topics

The scientific program will explore a broad range of topics, including:

  • MEMS resonators, actuators, and sensors: design, fabrication, and optimization

  • Biomedical microdevices: wearable and flexible sensors for health monitoring

  • Microfabrication and materials: flexible substrates, thin-film deposition, and microfluidics

  • RF, microwave, and terahertz microelectronics: circuit design, antennas, beamforming, and spectroscopy

  • Integrated circuits and VLSI systems: CMOS drivers, mixers, FPGA-based accelerators, and asynchronous and low-power design

  • Photonics and optical devices: silicon photonics, inverse-designed devices, and optical fiber sensors

  • Wireless communications and networking: 6G, satellite and UAV networks, RIS-assisted systems, and AI-, DRL-, and federated learning-driven resource management

  • Sensors and sensing systems: chemical, humidity, gas, pressure, and strain sensors for environmental and industrial monitoring

  • Energy systems for microelectronics: batteries, supercapacitors, and hydrogen storage and electrocatalysis materials

Registration is free, and we look forward to welcoming researchers, students, and professionals from across the microelectronics, microsystems, and sensor communities.
