The MDPI Canada team exhibited at the Ontario Library Association (OLA) Super Conference 2026 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
The Super Conference brought together esteemed library professionals, publishers, and partners to explore the key themes shaping the future of libraries and scholarly communication.
As part of this important conversation, MDPI held a spotlight session on the evolving role of artificial intelligence in scholarly publishing:
🎙️Talk Spotlight: “The Use of AI in Research Integrity and Publication Ethics”
Ryan Siu, Ph.D., Institutional Partnerships Manager, MDPI
This session explored how generative AI is shaping scholarly publishing; from the opportunities it creates to the ethical challenges it raises. Ryan shared how MDPI is implementing safeguards to prevent misuse, detect unethical practices, and responsibly leverage AI to strengthen research integrity and peer review.
We enjoyed connecting with the library community throughout the conference, and look forward to next year!
